In short: Holy Everyday Bible has no accounts, no ads and no analytics or tracking. What you save in the app stays on your phone. If you turn on Backup & Sync, it goes to your own Google Drive, iCloud Drive or OneDrive, not to us. We don't sell or share anything, because we don't collect anything.

What stays on your phone

Your reading position, recent versions, favorites and their categories, reminders, display settings (appearance, text size, font) and the Bible versions you download are stored in the app's private storage on your device. We can't see them. Deleting the app deletes them.

Downloading Bible versions

English (KJV) is built into the app. Other versions are downloaded from bibles.holyeveryday.com, which runs on Cloudflare. Like any web request, a download sends your device's IP address and the name of the version you asked for. We don't keep logs of these requests. Cloudflare handles them under its own privacy policy and may keep standard technical logs. Downloaded versions are kept out of your phone's iCloud or Google backups, since they can be downloaded again.

Backup & Sync (optional, off until you turn it on)

You can back up your reading position, favorites, categories, reminders and the number of recent versions to one of these services. The app talks to the service directly; nothing passes through us.

  • Google Drive A file Holy Everyday Bible/backup.json in your Drive. The app asks only for permission to files it created itself, so it can't see anything else in your Drive. It shows your Google account's email address on the Backup & Sync screen.
  • iCloud Drive (iPhone and iPad) A file in the Holy Everyday Bible folder of your iCloud Drive, using the iCloud account already on your device.
  • OneDrive A file in the app's own folder, Apps/Holy Everyday Bible. The app has no access to the rest of your OneDrive. The sign-in is kept in your phone's secure storage (Keychain or Keystore).

Your use of these services is covered by Google's, Apple's or Microsoft's privacy policies. To stop, sign out on the Backup & Sync screen; to remove the backup, delete the file from your storage.

Reminders

Verse reminders are scheduled on your phone by its own notification system. No server is involved. The app asks for permission to show notifications when you save your first reminder; on Android it may also ask to use "Alarms & reminders" so they arrive on time.

What the app doesn't do

No ads, analytics, crash reporting or tracking. No access to your location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone. No selling or sharing of personal information.

Children

The app is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone, children included.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
